Our mission is to encourage greater professionalism, knowledge, and skills among educators serving in school districts of Florida through professional development, technical services, and supplemental financial support where district needs are unmet.
The specific and exclusive purpose of this corporation is to operate as a charitable and benevolent organization created by the authority of Florida Statues Title XXXVI Chapter 617 to receive, hold, invest, and administer property and to make expenditures to or for the benefit of promoting high student achievement and quality of life throughout school districts of Florida. Our tasks are to provide professional development and state of the art technology and programs serving low performing students, teacher recruitment and retention, technical career education and/or literacy initiatives.
Florida Learns Foundation, Inc. is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under section 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Code. We are classified as a Public Charity.
